On Sunday 27th April our Preston Tae Kwon Do interclub competition took place. We had a great turn out for this both from competitors & supporters. Please take a look at the photo gallery below. Competitors competed in both Patterns and Sparring events, with hard faught 90second rounds, with each fighter having between 3 & 5 fights. The results are as follows; Childrens patterns low grades- 3rd place Kate Jones, 2nd place Max Tyson & 1st place Kacper Krol. Childrens patterns high grades- 3rd place Abi Sterling, 2nd Place Grace Canfield & 1st Place Alex Collis. Adult patterns low grades- 3rd place Patricia Turner, 2nd place Ryan McColl, 1st place Gary Dixon. Adult patterns high grades- 3rd place Mari Field, 2nd place Jamie Anderson, 1st place Christopher Taylor. Junior boys low grade sparring- 3rd place Dillon Bennison, 2nd place Kacper Krol & 1st place Luke Dixon. Junior boys high grade sparring- 3rd place Isaac Fletcher, 2nd place Matthew Halucha & 1st place Matt Field. Junior girls sparring- 3rd place Emily Thomas, 2nd place Abi Sterling & 1st place Emily Canfield. Adolescents & ladies sparring- 3rd place Patricia Turner, 2nd place Mari Field 1st place Tom Hurley. Mens low grade sparring- 3rd place Lee Alexander, 2nd place Gary Dixon & 1st place Mike Tyson. Mens high grade sparring- 3rd Place Christopher Taylor, 2nd place Jamie Anderson & 1st place Chris Maguire. On Sunday 16th November 2014 a group of our students, parents and Instructors travelled down to Lutterworth to attend the 2014 Taekwon-do Explosion competition. Congratulations to those students that gained trophies or medals, and well done to all who took part. You were all a credit to our club. Our competitors were as follows; Abby Sterling, Isaac Osgood, Gary Dixon, Lee Alexander, RyanMcColl, Emily Canfield who gained a Bronze medal in her sparring division, Matthew Field who gained a 3rd place trophy in his patterns division and a Gold medal in sparring, and Sam Osgood who got a Bronze medal in his Dan grade sparring division.
